Vučić: I want to thank people; Those results were never achieved in the history of Serbia

This is his first appearance in the media after the elections that were held on Sunday. He says that he regrets coming to RTS after "what they did to him tonight".

He thanked all the citizens of Serbia for the high turnout in the local elections.

"When I lost for mayor of Belgrade, 735 people turned out for local elections yesterday. It's a huge difference, the victory of the Serbia Tomorrow list is almost unbelievable. Those results have never happened in the history of Serbia," said Vučić.

He points out that it would be good to start forming the Belgrade City government as soon as possible.

"I don't know why there is a rush in some places. Belgrade has been under provisional government for a long time, and it would be good to start forming the government as soon as possible. There is no need to hurry in Novi Sad. All the opponents have been convincingly defeated. Three bridges are being built there, factories..." he said.

He also commented on the results of the elections in Nis.

"As far as Niš is concerned, I am completely against what both of them did. I asked that evening that it would be good for everyone to wait in Niš. I knew we had the majority, because we counted the polling stations and collected the votes," he added.

"I agree with the man from CeSID, that everyone should be allowed access. They asked and got it, and it was no different for a single vote. Of course, there are no irregularities, when you have no other argument, then you have to shout. They have already done it in Vračar and in Nis, they asked for a single vote. Of course, there are no irregularities. But, when you don't have any arguments, you have to shout," he said.

He adds that yesterday everything was inspected in Nis.

"There are several factors. The first is that these people live in a bubble, because people on the networks send them hearts, so they think they love them. They move in their own circle, and they think it's the whole world. They don't see that there are others who think differently," he said.

He stated that the proposals of the opposition on non-payment of taxes, as a form of civil disobedience, are a reflection of impotence.

"These are children's games, and what the people voted for, and what is fundamentally important, is that in the coming period we take much more care of the people and regroup our forces, and look at what we can do to protect the security of our country and energy efficiency," he added.

Vučić announced a meeting with Macron

"Great things await us. In the next month, I will meet with Macron. Today I found out that those who campaigned for the Resolutions counted on 115 votes, an objective 120 'in favor'. And wite that, they went before big countries, especially Islamic ones. Of course, they underestimated Serbia and they did not understand the decision of the Islamic Conference. Even there, we had a huge success first introduced the families of Serbian victims to the UN. I used my reputation in the global south, in freedom-loving countries. I am proud of this beautiful flag of Serbia, which I will always carry."

He especially thanked his Hungarian, Greek and Slovak friends.

"They showed us who our real friends are," he said. The organization of the Great Serbian Parliament is underway, Vučić points out.

"It will be a big event, we think that around 10,000 people from Republika Srpska will come," he said.

He says that the election campaign is over, and that he is moving on with his work.

"We are going to work, to fulfill everything we promised to the people by 2027," Vučić points out.

"When we do that, then you have elections after 15 years in power," he says.
