Elections in Serbia: New data released; Ministry of Interior made a statement

In Serbia, local elections are held in 67 cities and municipalities and 23 urban municipalities, and polling stations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Niš, 41.57 percent of registered voters voted by 6 p.m.

Turnout by 6 p.m. in the Municipality of Medijana 41.96 percent, in the Municipality of Palilula 40.47 percent, in the Municipality of Pantelej 41.29 percent, in the Municipality of Niška Banja 43.61 percent and in the Municipality of Crveni krst 40.95 percent of voters.

Still the highest turnout in Čajetina, the lowest in Sjenica

According to the data of the Municipal Election Commission in Čajetina, 40.08 percent of the total number of registered voters voted in the local elections by 4 p.m.

In Nova Varoš, 38.4 percent of registered voters went to the polls by 4:00 p.m., and in Užice, 31.41 percent of the total number of registered voters went to the polls.

The lowest turnout is still in Sjenica, where one of as many as 10 electoral lists is chosen - 29 percent.

On the territory of the City of Belgrade, 31.09 percent of the total number of registered voters voted by 4 p.m.

The results of the turnout were announced by the City Election Commission based on the data received from the Republic Institute of Statistics.

In Novi Sad, 34.35 percent of registered voters came out by 4 p.m.

Milovan Sijakov, vice president of the City Election Commission of Novi Sad, said that by 4:00 p.m., 34.35 percent of registered voters had gone to the polls in that city.

He stated that the elections are going on without interruption and that no major irregularities were recorded that would affect the course of the elections.

"GIK only has data from polling boards. If there were any problems, there were only technical problems, which do not affect the polling process," said Sijakov.

The next conference of the City Election Commission in Novi Sad will be held at 6:30 p.m., and after that, GIK will move from the City Assembly to the Novi Sad Fair, where they will inform the public after the polling stations close.

Aleksandar Vučić voted

President of Serbia and member of the SNS presidency, Aleksandar Vučić, voted today around 3:00 PM in New Belgrade.
