"These are important elections. You cannot take Serbia's honour"; Vučić greeted fathers of murdered children
The electoral list "Aleksandar Vučić - Belgrade tomorrow" held a rally in the "Ranko Žeravica" Sports Hall in New Belgrade.
The rally started at 18:00 with the Serbian national anthem "God of Justice".
Vučić's address
At the beginning of his address, President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, thanked those present for the magnificent welcome.
"I want to thank Mayor Janković for being with us tonight. We have two people in black with us tonight, who lost their children in those terrible attacks in Dubona and Orašje more than a year ago. Miša Todorović is with us, he lost his son Dalibor, Saša Panić is also here, the villain killed his son and daughter, Milan and Kristina. I wish the best for their families, that they endure everything. And they are here for one small and unimportant reason, that's when the worst tragedy happened at that time, some of us were at least a little human, others weren't, even a bit," said President of Serbia.
"They lost their children, there is nothing more valuable that someone can lose, and they wanted to be with us tonight because of the country they don't want to lose and they won't give it to anyone, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for being here tonight," said Vucic.
"Many times it was difficult for Serbia, but we always managed to rise like a phoenix from the ashes. It's not a problem if you fall, it's important that we get up every time and keep fighting. It's easy to say I don't like this bridge, this new railway, I don't like this plane, it could be bigger. We had 550,000 people less than today. You have changed our country. By doing our country stronger so that we will be able to stand up to those who would destroy our country. And we have succeeded. I know how important it is that you go to the elections. The elections are not over before the elections, they used all the tricks, they gave them more money than at any time in the past. A lot of money was invested in order to destroy this country. And it is up to us to tell them "We will not give up our homeland," said the President of Serbia.
Vučić pointed out that he is proud of every citizen of Serbia.
"I was born in Belgrade, to a Serbian father and a Serbian mother. I am proud of every Bosniak, Roma, Romanian, Hungarian. Every citizen who fights for his country. I am proud of everything we did in Nis, Novi Sad... Novi Sad has 3 bridges, and those who would defeat us were preventing the construction of those bridges. They promised to finish the metro in 2011. They are against it, and it's easy to be against something, and we need to be here for Serbia, to further change the face of the country by 2027, to raise the average salary to 1,400 euros, 650 euros pension for each of our pensioners who deserves to live better", emphasized President of Serbia.
"You've heard all they're against, they're against everything, you've never heard what they're for, because they don't even plan to build and do anything for their city, country and people," said Vučić.
Vučić stated that the whole world is facing a difficult time.
"There are fewer and fewer rational and responsible people. It's as if the whole world has gone mad, everyone fantasizes about conflicts, and I fantasize about peace, to save our children, daughters, grandmothers, we don't have children to throw away," he said.
"We will not allow anyone to destroy our national interests. Wherever we live in Serbia, we will always have the unity of our people, have a Serbian surname and not allow anyone to destroy that. I expect a great victory in Belgrade, I hope for it and I believe in it. That's why it is important that you all go to the polls and show your love for Belgrade and Serbia," said Vučić and added:
"Everyone criticized me for one thing. They were bothered by our Serbian tricolor, the Serbian flag. I will now show you this one from the United Nations, which I proudly spread. This tricolor of ours is a symbol of resistance, a symbol of freedom, a symbol of justice and a symbol of victory. No one can and will never win this flag."
