The moment when everything in Serbia will stand still: The date is known, everyone will be with Vučić
The session of the United Nations General Assembly where the resolution on Srebrenica will be considered is scheduled for May 23.
That will be the day when all of Serbia will stand still, writes Alo.
Everyone will closely follow the continuation of President Aleksandar Vučić's struggle to prevent the UN General Assembly from adopting that resolution. Everyone will be with the president during this discussion, which is of great importance for Serbia.
The session will be held, as is known for now, on May 23 at 4 p.m. However, that term is subject to change.
This is just a continuation of President Vučić's struggle, he was already in New York trying to prevent collective guilt from being imposed on the entire nation. As he said earlier, individuals are already responsible for the crimes committed.
"There is not a single name in the resolution proposal. It is just a collective condemnation and everyone says it and everyone knows it. And of course additional pressure on a sovereign and independent country at this moment. Why? Because of the non-inclusion of sanctions against Russia? Because of the non-resolution of the Kosovo issue? Because of relations with the East? Both, or all three. Because we are a free and independent country," Vučić said earlier.
Regardless of the outcome of the vote, President Vučić said that Serbia will continue to fight, to work and to grow economically. But certainly, on March 23, they will try to stand in the way of lobbying and fighting for that resolution with the aim of labeling us a genocidal nation.
Due to the importance of this struggle, his words will be followed by the whole of Serbia, writes Alo.
The resolutions of the UN General Assembly are not binding, but they carry political weight and reflect the views of the members of that body on the issue or topic in connection with which they were adopted.
