Vučić's address

"I am grateful for the visit and the energy you invest. Thank you for your precise words about the unnecessary existence of collective guilt, we will be able to remember that. I have one bad news for you and me, I thought I would come to Kotor, but I will most likely have to go to the Assembly of the Security Council, and that will be on Wednesday. I will probably go to New York tonight. We will give them the answer they deserve," said Vucic.

"I want to say a big thank you for all the plans you brought to Belgrade and I want to tell the citizens of Serbia that we have a lot to work on and that we have a lot to be grateful for. It's not just about money, it's about structural reforms and real things from which the citizens of Serbia can only have betterment, gain and a better life, along with assistance, which concern the visa regime and which concern the separation of companies within our public companies, so that we could deliver the best results," said Vučić.

President of Serbia pointed out that this is a very important period for us.

"We prepared for the Kotor session, I talked to all the people from Brussels about it, I was ready and looking forward to going to Kotor. As it is, I will not go, but Prime Minister Vučević will go, if this news is true. Prime Minister Vucevic and Marko Djurić and Tanja Miščević will attend it. So, we are going to New York with the biggest team to show our seriousness, responsibility and to show how much we care about doing the best possible job here. And when we say that we will do something, we will do it. As I promised, they will have a headache from everything I am going to do in New York, as well as our hearts and souls for what they are doing to us. What was promised, it will be fulfilled in both cases," said Vučić.

"Várhelyi has an optimistic plan, that in the next term a large expansion of the European Union should be made, in which Serbia should also participate. That would be exceptional news for us, except that we, unfortunately, have heard it many times, but observing the geopolitical situation, knowing Mr. Várhelyi's seriousness and responsibility, I believe that he spoke from his heart and from his head as much as he knows and that it is possible to predict those events. I am not sure that it is possible to predict everything so many years in advance, but we will prepare", stated Vučić and added:

"We are not perfect enough to be able to fulfill everything that is asked of us, what we say we will fulfill, we will. I want to thank the Office of the European Commission in Belgrade, Mr. Giaufret and all his associates for the great fight to give Serbia on these important issues, these structural reforms are very important for us, we want to grow faster, we want to push things forward, and we ask you to support us on that path, thank you for the great effort, for putting up with us sometimes, and we put up with you sometimes. I believe that people in Serbia are calm and happy after hearing you. Thank you very much," Vucic said.

"In June, Ukraine is expected to win a big political victory in Brussels. And if you ask me, my assessment, remember my words, I did not hear it from Oliver, I did not hear it from anyone from Europe, whenever there is an entrance, no one will enter before, maybe simultaneously with Ukraine. So, for them, Ukraine is absolutely the most important. It has a huge population, so I think that they are making it, then they think that Ukraine and Moldova and Georgia, those three countries plus the Western Balkans are going, too. Just write down my words so that in four years you will remember that there was someone who told you exactly how it would look like", Vučić stated, concluding that he is traveling to New York to fight for Serbia and the Serbian people.

Várhelyi's address

"I am always very glad when I come to Serbia. This time I have more time to spend here and I am happy that I can see all that we have done in the past five years and finally the fruits of that work. I hope that the next commission will see Serbia in the European Union, that they will join by the end of the mandate, because it is clear to me that the next commission will have to be an enlargement commission Eastern Europe and we are very proud of the profound changes and transformations of the economies and societies of the member countries. So now we are making all the tools, preparing the flywheel, so that the next commission can bring results," said Várhelyi and added:

"We have already started with the implementation of the growth plan. That is one of the topics I discussed with the president, and that is how to implement that growth plan as soon as possible. And I hope that in all the work we are doing, you will be able to see the first results of that and see the growth plan here in Serbia. So we could immediately move on to the acceleration of the accession process, which means accelerating the implementation of the conditions for accession as well as achieving access to the single market, which means bringing benefits to the citizens and the economy even before the enlargement itself. It is crucial that the growth plan is not only implemented, but also that the entire region implements it, because the east plan will not work if the region does not function as one, because the joint-regional market is not possible for individual countries to access the market as a single member, but the entire region must join and then they will have the same conditions as the member countries themselves. And that's why this gradual integration, as we call it in Brussels, will be crucial. We already had one summit this year and I hope that we will meet in Kotor to meet the president at the next meeting, where we will discuss the results achieved, the unified payment area, and green corridors. Therefore, all this is necessary in order to integrate the entire region faster. This aid program will provide additional financial resources, because these efforts, these reforms, cost money. I can't hide the fact that of course you can't finish...".

"When it comes to the Resolution on Srebrenica, I do not agree with collective punishment, it is not part of our values. I do not think that it contributes to overcoming all the horrors of the wars in the Balkans, we have condemned crimes against humanity. Those people must bear responsibility", Várhelyi concluded.
