Xi sent a letter to Vučić: I am sincerely grateful

Let us remind you that the Chinese President arrived in Belgrade on the evening of May 7, and as he himself said, he was touched by the welcome that was given in his honor.

The content of the letter was published by the Office for Media Relations of the President of the Republic and its content is transmitted in its entirety:

"Dear Mr. President,

On the occasion of the successful completion of the state visit to the Republic of Serbia, I would like, on behalf of all the members of the Chinese delegation, as well as myself and my wife, to express my sincere gratitude to you and your wife Mrs. Tamara Vučić, as well as to the government and people of Serbia for the warm and friendly reception, as well as careful and thoughtful arrangement.

Under our joint leadership, the Sino-Serbian comprehensive strategic partnership is progressing to a new level in all aspects.

Our two countries firmly support each other's vital interests and significant concerns, record mutual political trust, solid improvement of practical cooperation, as well as a steel friendship that becomes stronger with time, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of the two countries, giving a strong impetus to their own modernization and national rejuvenation.

During the visit, we deeply exchanged opinions on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common interest, and reached a number of important consensuses.

Our two countries jointly declared the construction of a China-Serbia community with a common future in a new era, thus raising our bilateral relations to a new historical height, which will inject a new strong impetus to the eternal friendship, mutual support and close cooperation between China and Serbia.

You have shown a firm commitment to the independence and self-empowerment of Serbia, as well as the foresight to consistently advocate for the development of friendly relations between China and Serbia.

I highly appreciate it and I am ready to continue to maintain strategic communications and regular contacts with you.

Under the new situation, Sino-Serbian relations are already at a new and higher historical starting point and face important strategic opportunities and broad development perspectives.

I attach great importance to the development of Chinese-Serbian relations, and I am ready to make efforts together with you to improve the construction of the community of China and Serbia with a common future in a new era with continuous new results, we contribute more to the well-being of the peoples of the two countries, making a new and greater contribution to world peace and progress, as well as building a community with a common future for humanity!

I wish great Serbia prosperity, and the people happiness and well-being!
