Vučić in Lazarevac: They will hurt Serbia hard, but we will save our honor PHOTO/VIDEO

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, also addressed the meeting.

Vučić greeted everyone present and said:

"I guess this is the first gathering we organized together. I won't appear at gatherings for a while, but I wanted to come here to say how important it is for us to be together."

President of Serbia pointed out that their job is to fight for Serbia.

"Don't be angry that Serbia is more important to us than anything else. Thank you for your support, because I know that Serbia is most important to you, too. In the coming days, I will talk with Chancellor Scholz, with Ukrainian and Russian officials, and there are no easy talks, so you should know that we will at all times give everything in our power to save our Serbia. We will not give our Serbia to anyone and for anything in the world".

"They were certain that, like some others 15-20 years ago, we would lower our heads and say: 'Yes, you are big, you are strong'. We said: 'We know how big you are and how many problems you can cause us', but we are defending the greatest sanctuary," said Vučić and added:

"You know I'm not an optimist. I'm always a harsh realist rather than a pessimist. It's better for me to present things to people as they are. They don't know what to do in New York because of Serbia's involvement. They don't know what to do with the resolution behind which the biggest powers stood. Small Serbia will fight until the last moment for its honor and image".

President of Serbia noted that everything erected construction is built for the sake of the people and all the citizens of our country.

"I want to apologize to the citizens of Lazarevac, because it must not happen again that we build a parking lot or city square for three years... If someone asks you why this is the case, they don't know... Why you didn't hire another contractor, and why didn't you control the works and thus show that you care about the citizens every day. I want to apologize to you for our arrogance and for the fact that you could see how many of our officials became more important to themselves... We saw that well and that's why we have people who will dedicate themselves to you and solving your problems, not their own, and that change must happen all over Serbia," said Vučić.

Vučić mentioned that he listened to numerous lies about EPS, and that he is not thinking of selling it. He spoke also about Kolubara, saying that decisions have been made on the procurement of new systems and that there are problems, but there is no decision to lay off workers, but new people will be employed.

"There are people who will be dissatisfied with everything... If only you could see how tired I am and how awful I look... I will go to New York because I want to once again address all the countries of the world and once again call on them not to vote for that resolution and to fight for Serbia. And that's why I want to tell you that those who want to spend money on themselves and don't want to deal with the citizens will not be able to. Honest people will get their money, Kolubara and EPS will go forward there is no compromise," said Vučić.

President of Serbia also announced that new works and investments in road infrastructure are coming.

"Only all of us together can do something for Serbia. And, at the moment when our country is threatened, they made additional divisions... Elections are not a toy, in elections you decide the future of every child. Think, don't forget that have already destroyed everything once," said Vučić.

He added that while the opposition was in power, Serbia was in black.

"It is a difficult and serious job to take care of people and their needs. My sincerest apologies for our bad behavior and arrogance, but I know you can see that we are struggling," said Vučić.

President of Serbia said that EXPO is not only Belgrade, but that it will change the image of the entire country.

He also recalled the increase in salaries and pensions that will follow in the coming period.

"I will be concentrated on the great pressures we are exposed to, only in the finish I will be able to help my friends... Don't for one second relax and think that we won... It is important that you go to the polls and that is why I am asking you to vote on the 2nd of June, you vote for Serbia tomorrow, and I guarantee you only one thing, that is that I will fight for Serbia together with you. If we can beat the big powers, it will be difficult, but you will see that they will also have a hard time beating Serbia, we will save our honour and hold our heads high, we will be able to leave the UN building and tell everyone that we come from a country of freedom," said Vučić and announced that only after that will the fight for a better future for our country follow.

"I want to bring the world to Serbia and increase salaries so that people return to their homeland from around the world," he said and added:

"Thank you, long live Serbia".
