The new Government of Serbia elected

The Assembly of Serbia elected a new Government of Serbia tonight, with Prime Minister Miloš Vučević at the helm.

152 out of 213 MPs present voted for the new government, 61 were against. There were no abstentions, and 37 MPs were absent. MPs of the ruling coalition SNS, SPS, SDPS, PUPS, JS, SVM voted for the election of the government, while opposition MPs voted against.

Speaker of the Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, scheduled a 30 minutes break, after which the new members of the government will be sworn in. The oath reads: "I swear loyalty to the Republic of Serbia and I pledge my honor to respect the Constitution and the law, to perform my duty as a member of the Government conscientiously, responsibly and with dedication and to be committed to the preservation of Kosovo and Metohija within the Republic of Serbia."

The new Government of Serbia will have 31 members,out of which five ministers without portfolio. The new government has a third of new names compared to the previous Government of Serbia led by Ana Brnabić.

In addition to Prime Minister of Serbia Miloš Vučević, the new Government of Serbia consists of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujović, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin. Aleksandar Martinović is the new Minister of Agriculture and Water Management, and Adrijana Mesarović is the Minister of Economy. Goran Vesić is the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Dubravka Djedović Handanović is the Minister of Mining and Energy, and Tomislav Momirović is the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade. Maja Popović remained the Minister of Justice, while Jelena Žarić Kovačević is the new Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government. Tomislav Žigmanov remained the Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, while Bratislav Gašić will be the Minister of Defense. Marko Djurić is the new Minister of Foreign Affairs. Tanja Miščević remained the Minister for European Integration, and Slavica Djukić Dejanović remained the Minister of Education. Zlatibor Lončar is again Minister of Health, while Nemanja Starović is the new Minister for Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, and Milica Djurdjević Stamenkovski is the Minister for Family Care and Demography. Zoran Gajić is the Minister of Sports, Nikola Selaković is the Minister of Culture, Milan Krkobabić is the Minister of Rural Care, Jelena Begović is the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Husein Memić is the Minister of Tourism and Youth, Dejan Ristić is the Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Darko Glišić is the Minister of Public Investments. Novica Tončev, Djordje Milićević, Usame Zukorlić, Nenad Popović and Tatjana Macura are ministers without portfolio.
