Vote on the resolution on Srebrenica postponed: It will not take place prior to May 6
On May 2, the UN General Assembly was supposed to vote on the resolution on Srebrenica, but the vote was postponed, Bosnia and Herzegovina's ambassador to the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija confirmed for N1 Sarajevo.
"At this moment, we know that the session will not take place on May 2, because today we are sending the text of the resolution for revision, if the UN member states have any other proposals on the text. The General Assembly will certainly take place after May 6, depending on the schedule of the sessions, which we will know on Tuesday," said Lagumdzija.
"The mission of Bosnia-Herzegovina to the UN participated in this decision, so that those who need time or those who are ready for a better understanding of the text of the resolution, as a group of friends and sponsors of the resolution, they are open for further consultations," he added.
Let us remind you that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that he had serious and important talks in New York with representatives of numerous countries about the resolution on Srebrenica and assessed that "many people are aware, no matter how they vote, that this has nothing to do with justice and international law, but with politics and geopolitical relations".
Vučić told journalists in New York that the Germans are the "ringleaders" and those who lead the campaign in the UN and outside and convince everyone who is not convinced that they should vote for the resolution, and that they should vote in order to remain in good relations with the world powers.
