Media: The number of ministers is not changing
The session of the Serbian Parliament at which the new government will be elected should begin on April 29 or 30, "Novosti" unofficially learns.
According to the information of Novosti, there will be no change in the structure of the cabinet, the number of departments will remain the same, and therefore the Law on Ministries will not be changed.
Personnel decisions are kept secret, and the session of the Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party will most likely be held on Sunday, when the candidate for Prime Minister and President of SNS Miloš Vučević will announce who will be the members of the new Government.
The Socialists should have gathered with the same task for the weekend. According to the work plan, the MPs could take a break on May 1, and then continue the debate and enthrone the new executive power by May 3.
The deadline for the prime minister and ministers to be elected is May 6. There was a lot of speculation among the public about who will sit down at the big oval table at Nemnjina 11.
It is certain that Finance Minister Siniša Mali will remain with Prime Minister Vučević and that the portfolio on behalf of the SPS should be held by Ivica Dačić. It is expected that there will be new faces, so it was speculated that Milica Djurdjević Stamenkovski from "Zavetnici" could also enter the executive power.
The new Government of Serbia will be the 18th in a row since the introduction of multi-party system in 1991, and the 12th since the 5th of October changes in 2000.
The first government of Mirko Marjanović and the team of Mirko Cvetković from 2008 to 2012 lasted the longest, four years each.
