This is the Greek woman who was the only one who voted against Dora Bakoyanni's shameful proposal PHOTO
The popular Greek portal Pronews announced this morning that the only Greek member of parliament who did not vote "yes" last night in Strasbourg was Nina Kasimati and that, as they wrote, it serves her honor.
Last night, four out of five Greek MPs in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg voted for the shameful proposal of Theodora Dora Bakoyanni, head of the club of Greek MPs in that European body.
That media analyzed why this should not have happened and that such a Greek attitude could have serious consequences for Greece itself in the future.
Some Greek media considered the proposal that just came from Greece, which traditionally, as an Orthodox country, has long and close ties with Serbia, to be shameful.
Who is Nina Kasimati?
Nina (Irini) Kasimati was born in 1978, she is a Greek politician, elected as part of Syriza.
She has been involved in various political and anti-war initiatives since the beginning of the 2000s.
Later, in PASOK, she supported George Papandreou during the internal party elections in 2007.
Later, disagreements arose and she left the party in 2010. As a member of Syriza, she entered parliament after the 2015 elections, and was re-elected four years later.
She is the daughter of Giorgos Kasimatis (1949-1993), an athletic champion who held the position of General Secretary for Sports at the end of the eighties.
