VMA officially confirmed: The young man injured in the fall of the canopy died

"Patient V. C. (born in 2006), who was seriously injured in the fall of a canopy in Novi Sad and who, after treatment at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, was admitted to the Military Medical Academy on January 29, 2025, died on March 21, 2025 in this military medical institution. Despite all the treatment measures undertaken and the maximum dedication of the staff of the Military Medical Academy, the patient succumbed to complex injuries and resulting complications. We send our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased V.C.," the VMA officially announced.

Nineteen-year-old Vukašin Crnčević was initially treated at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, and from January 28, the treatment continued at the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade.

Mladić is the sixteenth victim of the fall of the railway station canopy in Novi Sad.

Citizens gathered in front of the school in Novi Sad that Vukašin Crnčević attended, and a black flag was displayed on the school building. Students in the blockade called for the silence to honor the dead to be extended to 16 minutes.

The canopy of the Railway Station building in Novi Sad fell on November 1, killing 14 people.

Severely injured 24-year-old Anja Radonjić succumbed to her injuries on November 17.

The 24-year-old girl who was injured in the fall of the canopy is out of danger since March 13, the Clinical Center of Vojvodina announced.
