The US President's envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell, assessed today that the statements of the Prime Minister of Pristina's temporary institutions, Albin Kurti, that the relations between Washington and Pristina are "stronger than ever", show that he is "deluded" since, according to the American official, they are at a very low level.

"Relations have never been at a lower level. Kurti has been condemned by the first administration of US President Donald Trump, the Biden administration, NATO, the EU, the US Embassy, ​​former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and others," Grenell said on the X network.

Along with that statement, he posted a part of Kurti's interview for Pristina media in which he claims that the relations between Pristina and Washington are currently at their best.

Kurti also claimed that under his leadership the relations of the so-called Kosovo and the USA strengthened not only diplomatically, but also in the field of security and energy.

Grenell also stated a few days ago that Kurti's government did not inspire confidence during the first term of US President Donald Trump, as well as during the administration of former US President Joseph Biden, adding that both Republicans and Democrats criticized Kurti for withdrawing unilateral moves aimed at destabilizing the region.

"(Kurti was criticized by) both the EU and NATO. The international community is united against Kurti,'' Grenell wrote on the X network.

He stated that the Trump administration has cooperated well in the past and will continue to do so with everyone in the Balkans, but that this requires partners who instill confidence.
