Legija remains in prison

The High Court in Belgrade rejected the request for parole by Milorad Ulemek Legija, the former commander of the Special Operations Unit (JSO) convicted of murdering Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, the High Court in Belgrade confirmed.

As Blic.rs writes, the reason for rejection is that Milorad Ulemek Legija did not fulfill the condition that he had served two-thirds of the sentence to which he was sentenced.

Just to recall, Milorad Ulemek Legija (56), sentenced to 40 years for the murder of the Prime Minister of Serbia, and at the beginning of November he asked the court to be released on parole.

In addition to him, Branko Berček, a former member of the "red berets", also requested parole, which was confirmed by their lawyer Aleksandar Kovačević.
