Yesterday in the Special Court in Belgrade, the brothers of the two murdered young men, the girl who was wounded by Uroš Blažić in the massacre, as well as Blažić's grandfather and aunt testified. Nebojša Perović, the lawyer of the injured parties, spoke about the continuation of the trial for TV Prva.

"If the court makes a decision to convict the defendant, a sentence of 20 years is threatened for so many killed and wounded. Those who survived live with pain, suffering, fear... They are afraid of screeching tires, not to mention that the families of those killed can never get an answer as to why and how that happened. On the other hand, the punishment that threatens is mild compared to what was committed," said lawyer Petović

"The defendant did not want to state his defense in relation to the event itself, when, for what reason, what he is entitled to. Malo Orašje is 16 kilometers away from Dubona. The crime happened at the very entrance to Malo Orašje. He drove to Dubona and did not lose his will to carry out the plan. He asked the taxi driver for money to buy food. He forced the taxi driver to take him to the place where he was hiding", added Perović.

"In the end, he admits to the crime, but in the continuation of his defense, he explains that he didn't do it because he wanted to, but that there were other reasons. Then when you hear someone explain why he committed such a crime, it's because the locals were jealous of him. These are incredible things," said the lawyer.

"All those who survived were left with a certain physical deficiency. We have a victim who remained permanently disabled".

He was then asked how Uroš Blažić behaved at the trial, and whether he further provoked the families and victims with his gestures.

"Yesterday, the court guard reacted to stop the defendant from using that body language," concluded Perović.
