Media: Woman killed in Nis; Her daughter is main suspect

The investigation is led by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Nis, which ordered an autopsy on the body of Z.C, who is suspected of having been murdered.

"The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Niš was informed that on September 8, in the evening hours, the lifeless body of Z.C. (69) was found in the house at the address in Niš, and that there are grounds for suspecting that she was deprived of her life," the prosecutor's office announced.

The on-duty public prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Niš, together with the police officers of the Police Administration in Niš, conducted an investigation at the scene, an order was given that the body of Z.C. be transported to the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Niš, and that institution was ordered to perform an autopsy.

As unofficially reported by the media, there's police in front of the house where Z.C. lived with her husband and daughter, as investigation is underway.

The neighbor of this family told the media that they had a lot of problems and that the police kept coming.

"Her daughter spent more time in a psychiatric hospital than at home. She complained that her parents were mistreating her and that she was starving," neighbors say.
