Shooting in Loznica, policeman killed PHOTO

During the routine control of taxi vehicles by members of the traffic police in Loznica, several shots were fired at members of the traffic police last night, and one policeman died from injuries.

The firearm conflict took place around one hour after midnight on the main road in Loznica, and according to initial information, N.K. (34) was killed.

According to unofficial information, there were foreign nationals in the taxi who shot at the traffic police.

"There were foreign nationals in the taxi, presumably of Albanian nationality, who shot at the traffic police. According to the first information from the field, in that confrontation, one policeman died as a result of sustained injuries, while another member of the MIA received serious physical injuries, but is in a stable condition," a source familiar with the case told RINA. 

As stated, one person was detained on the spot, while the other is being intensively searched for. Helicopter units of the Ministry of Interior are also involved in the search.
