Investigation completed in the village near Majdanpek: A married couple killed by a shotgun, found on tractor

The investigation was completed on the property of P. P. (89) from Topolnica in the municipality of Majdanpek, where this man killed two people, R.J. (68) and R.J. (69) from Topolnica and wounded M.N. (59) from Klokočevac.

"The spouses were on the tractor, that's how we found them. They were killed by a shotgun rifle, and we will see how many parts of the bullet they have only when the autopsy is finished," says Ksenija Branković, public prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Negotin.

The public prosecutor rejected the allegation that the married couple was killed from behind and added that the investigation will show the direction of movement of the bullet, as well as the manner in which this crime was committed.

According to the story of an eyewitness, Branislav Pavlović from Topolnica, R.J.'s nephew, P.P. waited for the spouses when they were returning to the village after helping to put out the fire in the low vegetation. He lay on his stomach and took aim with a hunting rifle. He killed spouses with one shot and wounded M.N. Branislav Pavlović, fortunately, remained unharmed.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Negotin ordered the autopsy of P.P., who was killed by members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit when he attacked the police with a rifle.

"The autopsy will also show what position he was in when he was shot," adds Ksenija Branković, public prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Negotin.
