The brutal beating of Djordje Mijatović (40), the brother of the Vice President of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was witnessed by two women from their apartments and they will be key witnesses in the investigation of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, which was launched against two minors, F.B. (16) and N.Z. (17).
According to unofficial information, F.B. (16) is currently under the supervision of a psychiatrist at the Special Prison Hospital because he was mentally ill after arriving in custody, among other things, he refused food.
"The suspects are ready to tell everything, exactly how it was that day, the unfortunate set of circumstances. It turns out that they have all known each other for years, the parents of the suspects and the parents of the boy whose father was killed," said the interlocutor from the investigation of this case.
Let us remind you that Mijatović was brutally murdered on May 26 in a parking lot in Voždovac, more precisely, in the neighborhood of Braće Jerković. Allegedly, the suspected minors kicked him on the head, kicked him in the sand, and then tried to set him on fire with a torch. He died two hours later in the Emergency Center.
F. B. and N. Z. are believed to have racketed the boy (11), stole money, pocket money, mistreated him, and on the fateful day his father came out to defend him.
These allegations were confirmed by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dačić, who emphasized that the results of the autopsy show that Djordje Mijatović died of head injuries.
"Since we have obtained the recordings in the meantime, I think it is clear that after the fight in which they participated, he was so injured that he died in the Emergency Center as a result of those consequences. And that is precisely why these two minors, they are the main suspects, had to be handed over to the prosecutor's office and other state authorities in order to be prosecuted for the most serious crimes," Dacic said.
The suspects are charged with aggravated murder.
