The mother of the killer boy refused to testify

However, Miljana Kecmanović did not appear in court, and her lawyer said that she did not want to testify.

In addition to Miljana Kecmanović, the pedagogue and psychologist at the time, as well as the boy's teacher, were also called witnesses to today's trial.

At the very beginning of the hearing, the judge was addressed by the lawyer of the mother of the killer boy, for whom this was the 3rd time she failed to attend the trial.

The lawyer stated that she is withdrawing the proposal for the hearing of Miljana Kecmanović, and that she will not testify in the proceedings against her, because she is in no condition after the criminal proceedings. The judge accepted that proposal.

This lawsuit was filed by 27 family members against the killer boy, his parents and the school where the massacre took place. Kecmanović's defense attorney said during the second civil proceedings, since there are five of them in total, that the boy's mother will not present a defense in the civil proceedings.

In addition to the civil proceedings, there is also a criminal proceeding, which is closed to the public, and in which both the father and the mother denied guilt.

The killer boy, who at the time of this crime in "Vladislav Ribnikar" elementary school, was not yet 14 years old, and therefore not criminally responsible, shot his friends with two of his father's pistols that he took on May 1.

Then on the fateful day, he put them in his backpack, went to school and during the first lesson killed 10 people and injured five more children and a history teacher.
