Zlot full of police; Water tanks are emptied and then the streambed, but Danka's body wasn't found

The search is mainly based on the village of Zlot and the surroundings of the house of D. D., one of the suspects in the murder of the girl.

Members of the Criminal Police Administration (CPA) from Belgrade and Bor inspect the surroundings of D.D.'s house, the water tank was emptied and searched, and then the bed of the nearby stream. Beyond the stream, there are five more reservoirs or wells, and it is assumed that work will be done at those locations today, the Tanjug reporter reported.

Members of UKP Bor and Belgrade UKP together with a fire truck with special equipment for terrain search arrived on Tuesday in the village of Zlot in the vicinity of the house of D.D., the suspect in the murder of Danka Ilić.

Yesterday, the second part of the Lazarus Canyon was searched, after the police, together with the rescue team and the Mountain Rescue Service, searched the first 3.5 kilometers.

The pit above the canyon, 70 meters deep, was also searched. Specialist rescue equipment and drones are used for the search.

A two-year-old Danka disappeared on March 26 in Banjsko polje near Bor, and after a 10-day search and detailed checks of all leads and information, the police arrested J.S. and D.D. from Bor, who are suspected of hitting the girl with a car, then putting her body in the trunk of the car and taking it to the dump. They are charged with the crime of aggravated murder in complicity.

D.D. confessed to the crime during the hearing, while J.S. defended by remaining silent, and after the hearing, they were ordered to be detained for up to 30 days.

D.D. and R.D. the father and brother of the suspect D.D.,  were subsequently arrested on suspicion that they helped him move the body of the girl to an as yet unknown location. The suspect's brother died in the Police Department in Bor, while the suspect's father was remanded in custody for up to 30 days.

In the meantime, the director of JP "Vodovod" in Bor submitted his resignation for, as he stated, moral reasons.
