Vučić: "The most important thing is to see with Germany how to build a good mine" VIDEO
"It is up to us to see how to ensure a clean environment," said Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
"The most important thing for us was to see with Germany how to build a good mine, how to cultivate the land. Our students will be able to come to Germany for further training, but German students will also come to us," said Vučić.
"I had the opportunity to learn a lot here about the history of mining in Germany, but also in Europe. Back in the 19th century, Serbia had cooperation with Saxony regarding mining," Vučić said.
"We discussed today how to have German experts help us in Serbia, how to protect the environment. That we can ensure a normal life for the people around the mine in Serbia, but also how to do the processing in a safe way," said Vučić.
Vučić points out that it is important for Serbia to exchange experiences, German expertise, further education of our students so that they can manage not only lithium mines, but also other mines.
"Serbia is rich in many ores and precious metals," said Vučić.
"What we know is that there is no doubt that this would bring a lot of good to Serbia and to provide a complete chain, but what we do lack, and that is knowledge, we have compensated here in Germany today," added Vučić.
The President thanked Germany for its support for the opening of cluster 3 and for supporting Serbia on its European path.
"I am grateful to Germany for supporting Serbia on its European path. Germany is the number one partner. We have additional growth in our trade, it will exceed 10.5 billion for one country. What is more important, over 80,000 people work in German companies," he added.
