President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, visited today in Mali Zvornik the works on the reconstruction of the bridge on the Drina Mali Zvornik-Karajakaj (state road IB26).
"We are building a new hall in Korenita, and we will get new tablets and computers in Brezna. We will see that we do it all, we will invest money. We will see that we do it all next week," Vučić said during the tour.
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, visited today the works on the reconstruction of the bridge at the Karakaj border crossing and said that the work will be completed on time, in six months at the most, and will be financed by Serbia.
He added that the bridge is extremely important for the entire Podrinje and that it represents one of the road transit corridors through which truck transport is carried out.
"We are now working on Šabac - Loznica, 54 kilometers, which we will open on December 15, immediately after that, the Loznica - Mali Zvornik expressway, which is 21 kilometers long. This opens up Podrinje, towards Bajina Bašta and Zvornik," pointed out Vučić.
"Those 21 kilometers will cost over 200 million, 300 million with bridges," he added.
"One problem is because I would not want to destroy public finances, but I understand the needs of the people. From Ruma to Šabac, we will finish in three months," announced the President of Serbia.
"The bypass in Gornji Milanovac will be completed by the end of September," he added.
"In recent years, we have built more bridges and connections than in the previous 100-200 years," emphasized Vučić.
"We are rebuilding the bridges in Karakaj and Šepak, if we build a high-speed road to Mali Zvornik, there will be another new bridge. We have to repair Skelani and then we managed to solve everything. We don't have a serious railway connecting us, that's a problem," he said.
"Economic progress is the essence of a country's security. Before the end of the year, we will open to Požega, and with Munja hill, by May next year. We will also finish Čačak - Kraljevo, and we will go to Vrnjačka Banja via Trstenik via the most modern highway. These are big changes for Serbia, these are things that are important," Vučić said in response to questions from journalists.
"Investments in Republika Srpska will only increase. This bridge costs 3.5 to 4 million euros, meaning only this bridge," emphasized the President of Serbia.
"When everything is finished, you will be reach Podrinje from Belgrade in an hour and 20 minutes, at the Karakaj crossing," he added.
"We will invest one billion euros in roads," emphasized Vučić.
