The new factory in Surčin was built without subsidies
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, opened today a new modern factory in Surčin for the production of plant-based meals.
Vučić said today during a tour of the new factory of the Nestle company for the production of plant-based meals in Surčin that two years ago there was nothing there, and that the factory was built without state subsidies.
"I want to point out that the Nestle company did not ask for any incentives from Serbia. I like it the most when it is like that. We do not run away from the fact that if they asked us, we would participate in it, we would help the investment, because it is important for our people", said the president.
He pointed out that we have to consolidate the regional market because it is the path to a single European market.
"Serbia is not afraid of that, we will give it our highest contribution and we will continue the talks about it tomorrow. For us, the issues of green corridors, PEN conventions, and many other things are of key importance, much more than money that anyone else can to give us growth. We currently have over 4 billion euros in our account. We don't need money, we need something that can significantly contribute to accelerated development and getting closer in the future to what we have set out. In addition, it is important to us that to reach a single European market as soon as possible. Of course, it is not easy - but when we overcome all these problems and when we reach an agreement with the Europeans, it will be a huge step forward for our country and a huge opportunity for accelerated development," said Vučić.
