"So what if Gasic made a trashy remark?!
There are more important issues in the country besides political correctness!"

An expert for trashy remarks is speaking :)

He has apologised - I suspect genuinely - so should he be forgiven?

It seems that this was a bad joke, but not of itself malicious.

Bad jokes are quite common in society, so anyone could think them, and it is a small step to let one slip out.

I'm a bit against xcessive PC, although I fully sympathise with anyone who is offended.

Perhaps self flaggilation would be enough to invoke our forgiveness?

I quite like the idea of politicians who have had to suffer in public for their faults. All the rest are just doing their best to pretend that they are good!

I despise those who are trying to shift blame onto the journalist. Pathetic.

Whether she knelt or even whether she didn't, and what her motives were if she did are absolutely beside the point. The point is that Gusic made a trashy, sexist, insulting remark and that he shouldn't have done it. Period.

The Progressives argued that thus "fabricated lies" were aimed at "destabilizing the country," while "the tycoon-mafia lobby was behind everything" - and that this lobby "paid a couple of million euros to have Gasic removed from the post of defense minister."

Tycoon mafia lobby? Is this the SNS synonym for NATO? Always funny these Serbian conspiracy theories, combined with the lack of self-criticism and the refusal to stand your ground for the stupid things you did or said.

P.S: Kudos for Vucic to connect his post of PM with the dismissal of Gasic.
