Speaking of Dr. Ibrahim Rugova - his party was attacked by another wing of the KLA - they were assassinating politicians and KLA members of his party before, during and after the war. I remember one name, something like Tahir Zemaj was killed in early 2003, in the 3rd or 4th attempt of his life.
His brother and uncle were killed and/or injured too.
Also it was the Albanians who started the murders and had torture camps all over Kosmet.
The Serbs were prevented at shutting them down by the U.S. and other western diplomatic pressures. Anytime the Serb police would start making headway against the KLA, the U.S. would step in to halt them.
Yet, despite it only being the Serbian police fighting the KLA (until just shortly before the bombing as there was already U.S./NATO troops building up on the Macedonian border) and the U.S. and west stymieing the Serbian police efforts to purge the terrorists (and they were definitely terrorist), they couldn't win.
That's why the big NATO "guns" were brought in. All along the NATO powers wanted to sever Kosmet from Serbia. They had their own motivations and of course the ever-greedy Albanians had their own.
The war was set-up, as were all the wars dismantling Yugoslavia.

So when Rugova passed away, Albanians in Kosovo, decided to elect a tough guy, like Thaci and it worked.

You possess such evidence, give it up. The last I heard rumors of hatred posted in blogs is not considered as evidence at any trial, except maybe Russia.
Through any investigation I have seen, the mention of close association with mafia heads but never any actual evidence of mafia activities. Even at that these are NOT war crimes and have no room at the ICTY.

100% Thaci enjoys protection by his international sponsors, and so no investigations actually take place. The Bosnian and Croatian war criminals go to the Hague and get slaps on the wrist or unjustly acquitted. Thaci isn't even prosecuted, when there is enough evidence for at least a case to be made if nothing else.

I am not proud of Thaci,but Albanians did elect a professor for 17 years in a raw. Dr. Ibrahim Rugova you remember him, don't you?
But Serbs choose to humiliate him every chance they had and didn't even try to talk with him.
So when Rugova passed away, Albanians in Kosovo, decided to elect a tough guy, like Thaci and it worked.
Serbs went to negotiations with him and still are negotiating.
All I know about Serbs is that they never want to talk with Albanians because they consider them as subhuman.
The only effective tool to deal with Serbs is "Storm" style negotiations.
Unfortunately even today Serbs don't want to make a deal with Albanians.
You can read here Nikolic meets North Korean,Zambian,Ruwandians,Cubans and all different kind of people for all corners of the globe, but when Albanian PM visits Belgrade he refuses to meet him.

Which country also approved for moving the control over Kosovo to the EU and made the UNSC an arena for quarterly reports. When was the last time Russia was able to make a decision on Kosovo?? Russia was adamant about blocking Ahtisaari Plan for Kosovo but then voted to put it under the EU and guess what Plan is the road map for Kosovo??
Russia has the power to block anything in the UNSC concerning Kosovo, but it is as effective as a Eunich in a brothel as far as enacting anything. But has Russia's position inhibited the EU's actions in Kosovo, note the approval of the SAA today!

Speaking of Dr. Ibrahim Rugova - his party was attacked by another wing of the KLA - they were assassinating politicians and KLA members of his party before, during and after the war. I remember one name, something like Tahir Zemaj was killed in early 2003, in the 3rd or 4th attempt of his life.
His brother and uncle were killed and/or injured too.
Also it was the Albanians who started the murders and had torture camps all over Kosmet.
The Serbs were prevented at shutting them down by the U.S. and other western diplomatic pressures. Anytime the Serb police would start making headway against the KLA, the U.S. would step in to halt them.
Yet, despite it only being the Serbian police fighting the KLA (until just shortly before the bombing as there was already U.S./NATO troops building up on the Macedonian border) and the U.S. and west stymieing the Serbian police efforts to purge the terrorists (and they were definitely terrorist), they couldn't win.
That's why the big NATO "guns" were brought in. All along the NATO powers wanted to sever Kosmet from Serbia. They had their own motivations and of course the ever-greedy Albanians had their own.
The war was set-up, as were all the wars dismantling Yugoslavia.
