What makes idiot Rasmussen believe that Afgan forces will fare better against the Taliban than the 130000 US& Nato forces armed with the state of the art weaponry? When Nato leaves the Taliban will regain power in Afghanistan and return it to an Islamic fundamentalist state. Nothing else interests them.

By 2014, WOW. NATO only cares about using military hardware, and justifying their war actions. NATO's main purpose is to promote the US's military industrial complex. It is obvious, so why don't nations just say it as it is? Everywhere in the world today, whatever the disagreement, the USA is there, why? Who invite them? Nobody. It is just an opportunity for America's war industry to make money, under the guise of democracy. This game has been going on for decades now. Vietnam is a prime example of this. There was no reason for the US to put its tail between its legs and run from SEA, but they did. Why, because the war machine was not winning, and could not keep up. American citizens had had enough of the lies.
