"How do I a Croatian ever become popular with the Serbs any sane ideas"
Maybe start by writing one single comment that is not condescending?

Unofficial media reports are saying that the Socialists (SPS) have been holding "informal" talks with the Progressives (SNS), focused on forming a government.

Lenard,
Quite certainly this is well off the topic, but:
Ari Gold is biased, and so are you. I've read your comments and it's pretty obvious that for you a "Serb" defines a person. "Serb" tells all what you need, what you want, what to expect, all what offers you a higher ground.
I know you can do better than that. If only you have balls for it.

Lenard, I have no idea what you are talking about. As for what a Croat thinks about Serbian elections, I'm not sure that is really that important. Thanks fr hanging out on Serbian sites, though, not sure why you do that either, but welcome aboard.

Ecoman I said all that just the other day even the musical chairs but as usual you Serbs gave me negatives. Very biased are Serbs anti Croatian so sad I will try to get over it lol. How do I a Croatian ever become popular with the Serbs any sane ideas. Even Ari Gold said that a Serb stole my girlfriend at a party because Serbs are the life of the party http://www.ybuzzers.com/images_Liars.html .

If they decide to side with the SNS and managed to convince parties of ethic minorities to join them, that alone would be enough to garner the support of 127 MPs - precisely the number that enabled the DS-led coalition to rule during the past four years.
If Vojislav Koštunica's Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) also joined such a coalition, then it would count on a comfortable majority of 138 MPs.
--
Looks like someone has a faulty calculator. The SNS and SPS cannot form a government without the DSS.
SNS (73) + SPS (44) = 117 (not enough and not 127)
SNS (73) + SPS (44) + DSS (21) = 138 (sufficient to form a government)
SPC-UK and Ecoman, that is the system we have. There are in fact 3 realistic options but one without the SPS. This is a chance for Nikolic to play divide and conquer as he will certainly want his party, the SNS, in the next government. Politics is a dirty game where is seems the best deceiver wins.
So if we assume the SNS will be in the next government, we have two options.
SNS + SPS + DSS (my preference as I support the DSS and this is the only way)
SNS + DS (this is what I believe to be a done deal but we still need to go through the motions)
The other option of DS + SPS + URS is fragile and Nikolic has some cards to fracture this formation.

It's just a normal procedure in democracy that parties have both formal and informal discussions about forming a government. It's alright. Anyway it's better for Serbia that parties can and are willing to talk to each others, much better than not. This is the way to learn to compromise in politics, which isn't a done thing in Serbian life or politics. This is the way to learn to consider what others want, not only me.
I wish selfish, aggressive and arrogant way of making politics would soon be over in Serbia. Therefore, I'm not scared even if Dacic and Nikolic chat.

I agree with you, SCP UK, the like of Dadic are a cancer on serbian politics. The same cast of characters has been playing musical chairs in Serbia's leadership for the last 20 years, and seldom do we see a new face, or new ideas. Toma has finally been elected president, after multiple attempts, and party changes. What is he exactly now, a communist, or socialist, or democrat, or conservative? What does progressive actually mean? What does he and his party want to progress to? All I can say, is that Serbian politicians are all turncoats, chirping one song during election campaigns, and another when governments need to be formed. I have a strong suspicion it is to hold their cushy seats, and not what is best for Serbia. If the later were the case, most of these career political hacks would be long gone.

Dacic makes me sick, his party came third yet always ends up being the deciding factor in who will form government. He is a power hungry scumbag who ought to be shoved out of the political area, he would sell his own mother for power and is happy to change his colours whenever it suits him, just look how he as Milosevic's right hand man jumped into bed with the DS, yet Milosevic himself was completely opposed to them. I don't like Nikolic very much (and certainly not Tadic at all)but Nikolic should give him the middle finger and tell him to do one.
