How about you write the whole sentence instead of just taking out what suits you?
I do care about the truth, but when you only take out a few words that distort what I said you are the liar.
(Peggy, 25 May 2011 15:26)

You forgot what you wrote ?! You want more ?… sure! you said:

“I'm glad you can enlighten us on what Romania's reasons are. Regardless if that is true or not the fact that they are not there is what is important and speaks volumes.
End result is all that matters.”

If it’s true that Romania’s non-participation is a support for Serbia, it’s one thing; if that’s false, it’s another thing. For example Romania’s delegation may not participate because the aircraft they were flying in had a technical problem and had to go back to Bucharest. I’m not sure what fraction of a volume that speaks… So normal people don’t say regardless of what the truth is. But, as I said, that’s a usual thing of yours so I’m not making it a big deal…

Sure, we can all do the math that if one says I don't recognize it will be counted as one for Serbia. So far about 20 have done so; about 75 have done the opposite.

Way to go

Isn't that more a Serbian trait? Serbs take a few words out of 1244 to say that it guarantees Kosovo is Serbia, when the whole document itself spells how Serbia has no power or control over Kosovo.

Your opinion about Kosovo has been consistent, I have to admit, because of your hatred toward over 90% of Kosovo population is obvious.Having said that you fail to acknowledge that other countries arrested Serbian criminals that you are crediting Serbia with.If Albanian narc gangs were so abundant as you want us to believe, you would see the same arrests all over the world. On contrary, Albanians are known for hard work and entrepreneurship establishing respectful businesses worldwide.
Kosovo is run by freedom fighters that are accepted in corridors of power everywhere. We have a problem with corruption just like you are and other countries in Balkans, including some like Greece, Romania and Bulgaria that are already members of EU.

What can I say? Boris Tadic ought to realize that just because some nations don't want to recognize Kosovo's sovereignty doesn't mean that every nation will share such a mutual understanding with him.

Serbia wants peace and a solution by not going to summits or talking to the other side. Well only a psychotherapist can understand this extremely bipolar mindset.

Well said Niall, i couldnt agree more with your sentiments. Tadic, in my opinion, is playing a very shrewd hand. By standing firm on his Kosovo stance he is ensuring renewed support from voters in Serbia, vital with upcoming elections. He is maintaining very strong relations with Russia and China who neither support the Albanian UDI. On top of this, I feel he showing himself to be a very determined and principled politician. There are many western politicians that could do well to take a page from his book. He is moving Serbia towards EU membership whilst resisting very strong pressure to recognise the K Alb UDI. I, for one, wish him every success.

For some Serbs that continue their old phrases like parrots: "Kosovo is Mafia and criminal country" just read your own press. Serbia i sa main exporter of criminals and Gangs. Serbian criminals are being flushed out from Drug infested jungles of South America and rounded up all over Europe.

You missed the big issue here. Whilst Serbia continues to crack down on criminals which obviously exist, KiM Albanians continue to support criminals who in fact form the government in "Kosova". That is the the big issue, you guys are run by criminals and your whole entity is mafia infested. You can keep blaming Serbia for your problems but you really only have yourselves to blame.

"President to boycott regional summit over Kosovo."
It was a right and courageous decision.Unfortunately it has been obvious
to everybody for quite some time that West is determine to snatch Kosovo from Serbia anyway they can, legally or illegally. The West consider itself
ultimate arbitrator of the right and wrong, they will not hesitate to use the force if there is no consequences. It should be noted ever since a disintegration of Soviet Union,West claimed victory as a cold war ended
and started military operation Word wide.Let this surge of Western effort to build the world in their own image plays out.Serbia should stick with UN resolution 1244 which is only legal document governing the Serbian
Province of KOSMET to date.No one can give Kosovo Albanians independence and sovereignty other then UNSC and Serbia itself.Serbia should not be in any rash to join alliances other then EU if accepted as is.Government of
Serbia should work hard on improvements of daily life of its citizens.
ALL political parties in Serbia should have united stand on Kosovo."To je
srpski oltar sveti u njega smo svi zakleti"

Also, Serbia have the backing of 61% of the whole world countries

I could not find more than 20 countries have said they don't recognize Kosovo. So are you saying that the world has only 33 countries ?!

when the organ trafficking case is over and Haradinajs, Thacis and the rest of the gangsters crime are investigated in a couple of years, Kosovo can be put in order again. Period.

I think everybody agrees with that. If those are criminals and are taken out of the government, Kosovo will be much more in order and a much stronger

What is not clear in the article and many comentators do not understand is that Tadic and any other politician in Serbia is strongly advised, if not threatened by Russians not to participate to such meetings. The intiative of US to meet CEE countries is to tighten the relationship and maintain them on EU/US side. For Russians and Serbia Kosovo is the best excuse not to participate. This is sad news for Serbia. I always keep repeating that independence is irreversible and recognition by Serbia should occur as soon as possible to enable Belgrade integrate into western world especially in the EU and NATO.

(Creative Rationality, 24 May 2011 11:05)

Talk about delusional nonsense. Listen mate, unless Belgrade says so, Kosovo is going absolutley nowhere. Thats's the fact and it's time you lot faced up to it. Belgrade is not going to recognise Pristina's UDD or acquiese giving away any part of its territory unless it says so and that will mean terms that will ultimatley be dictated by Belgrade and no one else, not Hash, Obama, Ashton, Barosso or nobody only Boris Tadic. Right now its looking like Mr Tadic is not going to give you the goodies, i.e. bilateral agreement with Belgrade that will make your independence legal. By the way, I disagree slightly with Mr Tadic. he should have gone to the conference, sat down, issued his statement and together with his Romanian and Slovakian counterparts, walked out. That woud have sent a powerful message to Washington and it's craven Polish lickspittles.

The conference as expected will as likely descend into a meaningless talking shop without Serbia and as expected the boycott by Slovakia and Romania.

Serbia will likely be joined in the boycott of the summit by Romania and Slovakia, two of the five EU countries from the region that have refused to recognize Kosovo.

This whole recognition business has been fairly costly to European and especially South Eastern European unity considering a few influential countries in the region will boycott the summit for the sake of what is largely a criminal and mafia entity. Oh well, that is the price of short sightedness. The situation has become worse since the UDI as prior to that there was an agreement in place that everyone adhered to.

This is sad news for Serbia. I always keep repeating that independence is irreversible and recognition by Serbia should occur as soon as possible to enable Belgrade integrate into western world especially in the EU and NATO.

(Creative Rationality, 24 May 2011 11:05)

Tell me this Mr 'Rationality', do you get up every morning, don the suit, assume the posture, stand in front of the mirror and repeat 10 times, "that independence is irreversible and recognition by Serbia should occur as soon as possible to enable Belgrade integrate into western world especially in the EU and NATO."

Still though if it makes our irridentist, intolerant Albanian hypernationalists here happy, then knock yourself out. The irony of your username is simply delicious.

No country will boycott the meeting because of Serbia. This is just somthing that B92 reported to make it look like somebody support you. Did you read the sentence ''most likely'' ?? When it comes to Romania you should know that they accept Kosovo passport so they have nothing against Kosovo. They are just afraid of Transylvania.

But it is good to see that Kosovo goes before the ''regional leader'' Serbia when it comes to importan meetings. I guess Serbia wasen't as important as Kosovo to have at the meeting and good to see that Poland is a country wich holds to its policy's.

Serbia will be isolated and it's sad to see that the president of Serbia decides to isolate his country. And for what ? Somthing that he will never get...

Poland is and important country and so is also this meeting.

Kosovo is Serbian territory under occupation! This is the only thing that Tadic should publish. Everything else is a fairy tale. Greece has the same problem with Cyprus. Zoran

Serbia will likely be joined in the boycott of the summit by Romania and Slovakia, two of the five EU countries from the region that have refused to recognize Kosovo.
--
This whole recognition business has been fairly costly to European and especially South Eastern European unity considering a few influential countries in the region will boycott the summit for the sake of what is largely a criminal and mafia entity. Oh well, that is the price of short sightedness. The situation has become worse since the UDI as prior to that there was an agreement in place that everyone adhered to.

You are listening too often to your FM Jeremic, who is propagating this since he is in the government, starting under the nationalist Kostunica, during whose reign Serbia's very contested "constitution" was accepted. The influence of the in the nineties based RTS-propaganda is still confusing Serbia's policy. Serbia's role could be more important, if it lets off from it's false claims on Kosovo. No one, except maybe for Russia, will care or make a deal out of the fact that the region's trouble-maker is absent on this summit.

Something is amiss here. The Eastern Partnership summit scheduled originally for May 27-28th in Budapest has been rescheduled for later in the year in Warsaw due to a conflict with the G-8 summit in France. Obama is scheduled to be in Poland on the 27th but no mention in his itinerary about speaking at a summit. The only place on Google can I find any mention of a summit is here in B92. Could it be that Tadic is boycotting a meeting that is not even taking place to look good for the Serbs at home.

A dinner? Are they going to play parlor games afterwards? Who is going to hand around the Fererro Rocher and the mints?

Yes, Tadic will be missing a great deal. Not.

Come on, this is Obama's charm offensive which is why he is packing it in so tightly. If this were serious, teams from the US State Department would have already visited each country in advance to hash out the issues (i.e. what the U.S. expects of its partners), but there is little evidence of this apart from the 'important' countries like Poland & Romania (missile attack).

Much ado about nothing unless you are a peacock that likes to show your a*s feathers to everyone and hear them mutter in appreciation.

I still wondering how naive and superficial are most of the comentators here in this forum. Even in most democratic countries, when it comes to state policy, prepare very carefully any news. But this is not the real reason. I am not saying it is good or bad for Serbia to rely only on Russia. It is their decision. But at least do not take your electors for stupid.
