Disappointed voters "increasingly don't care about EU"

I'm glad Serbians are finally waking up. EU support is in decline so we have something to celebrate. It was a good idea for the DS to rule with their "no alternative to EU" policy during a period of economic decline. People won't get the wrong impression now that the EU will save them.

In the mean time, Russia and China are continuing to build stronger ties to Serbia both politically and economically. The future looks brighter and I suspect the SNS will water down its EU ambitions after the next election.

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVOURITE OUTCOME...i have always said that pro-Eu opinion polls were fake simply too high..now they will only return to the standard...max 30%..like in Croatia and other countries...Finally also in Serbia people understand that all this smoke in their eyes was given with the pourpouse to turn away their minds to the domestic problems aka unemployment,poverty,and so on..

Too much use of the stick backfired on the EU.

Hmmm, no EU aspirations, no eu hoops for Serbia to jump through, finally Serbia might actually start to do what all sovereign nations aspire to, Self determination, not determination by an elitist club of outsiders. Well done people of Serbia, look after yourselves first and foremost!

And yet Nikolic, who broke with anti-EU Seselj and became pro-EU will be elected president while the anti-EU SRS & DSS will barely get 10% of the vote and the totally pro-EU Tadic will end up losing. Welcome to the Mind of Serbdom: we want the EU though we are sick of begging, so we'll elect pro-EU politicians to beg for us, then we'll elect the anti-EU SRS & DSS out of spite over making us beg for over a decade once we get in. DONT mess with us Serbs, we always laugh & best laugh

Well, if uncivilized countries should not apply to the eu, that rules out albania. Phoney countries should not apply too, so that rules out kosovo. Divided countries should not apply, so that rules out bih. Illegitimate countries should not apply, so that rules out croatia. Finally, countries with jedis should not apply, so that rules out monteblack.

Yes that’s right Serbs are uncivilised and the EU needs Albanian thieves and criminals in their ranks. Fantastic idea, could not agree more that the Albos should go into the EU, but the EU Parliamentarians had better keep a close eye on their valuables.

What a breath taking statement from an Albanian “Uncivilized countries need not apply”. Can you get more uncivilised than people who believe in blood fueds?
