"Our principled position regarding our province's future status is set in stone. Serbia will never, under any circumstances, implicitly or explicitly, recognize UDI. This is a constitutional imperative..."

This what all boils down to. You might as well skip the rest of the article, since it is of no importance after those sentences. Everything else is demagogy. Basically Tadic is saying that Serbia does not accept any talks where independence is one of the solutions. He is begging the western world to make the Albanians sit on a table and force them into submitting that autonomy as picked only by the Serb voters is the solution that Serbia has chosen for Albanians without their participation; and that is the only solution. As you read the article replace the word compromise with the word autonomy, the word negotiations with submission under force for the Albanian side, and the words mutually-acceptable with the words acceptable only to Serbia, and you have cracked the poorly coded speech Tadic made.

"UDI has divided the world and the Balkans.", ermmmm not it hasn't everyone in the Balkans has recognized Kosova apart from Serbia!
(adrian Kola, 23 January 2010 10:18) "

I thought Bosnia is located in the Balkans? No?

Anyway no UN entry for "Kosova".

After having lost all wars and beeing stopped by pure military power, they now call for dialogue. The time for dialogue was during the 80'ies and 90'ies, when you belived noone can stop a greater Serbia.

Sejdieu, Thaqi, Hiskendi, etal. - these are not experienced politicians, rather K_Albanians that the local Albanians know. Most of the Pristina politicos are former KLA members, and, or, powerful clan family members. These guys are horrible representatives amongst world politicians. Can you imagine the likes of a Thaqi, debating world politics with someone like Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov? They are just not in the same class. Until the K_Albanians find some real, educated, diplomatic type politicians, they will never be able to speak for themselves - and the UN, and world, will not listen to them till this happens. Maybe it will be another 20-30 years, when these K_Albo leaders die off, that Pristina will finally have some legitimate representatives. Hopefully they will not install their offspring in positions of government. In either case, they will never equal the presence of Mr. Tadic, or Jeremic. These men are smart, worldly, educated, Harvard for Jeremic, and respected. Can you say that for the Albanians from Kosovo?

I heard that if President Sejdiu was present today at the UNSC, Tadiq would not show up. hahaha, you sir are the leader of the regional joke.
(KOSOVARi, 23 January 2010 02:07)

Well, maybe he should've gone then. It would've stopped Tadic right in his tracks.

Why didn't he go?

I can't believe he used the phrase 'final solution' in relation to EULEX! Here is the president of a country aspiring to become an EU member comparing one of its agencies to Nazi Germany.
If I were Hyseni I would have skewered him on this point.
Anyways, what else to say but keep it up! You make everyone else in the region look good.

Everyone must admit that President Tadic of Serbia has given some very concise facts as to what is currently going on in Kosovo, and where anymore unilateral actions will lead to. Unfortunately, most of this will fall on deaf ears outside of the UN chambers. As long as the separatist factions in Kosovo have the backing of the US, they will ignore any notion of compromise, and push forward with their nationalistic, nation-building agenda.
The EU (EULEX) is an impotent faction that is mostly interested in keeping matters quiet in Kosovo, and that unfortunately means appeasing the Albanian authorities in Pristina - otherwise there may be conflict, and that would invalidate their mission.
The only hope I can see, is for the US, through some face-saving maneuver, distance itself from the affairs in Kosovo, and truly allow the EU and KFOR to do their work there - and that means finding solutions agreeable to all sides - after all, all sides claim history to this land, so all sides should be satisfied with the solutions. To take a side in Kosovo is wrong, history has proven that. No one nation, or ethnic group should control it. There is too much history there for several ethnicities to just relinquish - therefore a solution of status must be agreed by all - otherwise there will never be peace in this region, regardless of how many foreign troops may patrol there.
