"Telekom to post record profit"

Serbia's state owned telecommunications company, Telekom Srbija, has had "record profits" this year despite the economic crisis, it was announced.

Prices are stupidly inflated for international calls (20X - 100X the price, on average). They are inflated for mobile calls as well.

Curiously, landline calls are very, very cheap (I find), even if you're calling between cities. Plus, I love the extensive network of pay-phones. No one uses them for some reason. There's always one available.

Nice profits, maybe now they can invest it in providing 24/7 live support that can actually resolve or advise on a problem, ie: adsl outage rather than have someone holding for 45 minutes only to get an idiot on the phone that says "the network is down right now, Bye"
