I'm all for the B92 initiative. My routes in Zemun go back a long way and I think its about time we did something like this. I lost more than half of my family which were from Zemun in WW2.

all the best!

I am really glad to hear this. We know it is long overdue. Last February, I visited sajmiste and paused at the forlorn, brave memorial plaque by the steps. Davor (related to the the David family is but one who suffered) accompanied, explaining the history as we walked from the synagogue, the Jewish museum, through Zemun and to sajmiste. Great to hear the current plans and the respect. The West knows almost nothing of the holocaust in the Balkans. And of the conflagration suffered throughout Serbia and Montenegro in particular in this case.

Excellent initiative of B92. The suffering of Serbian Jews and other people (including my family member) imprisoned in this Nazi camp needs to be properly commemorated.
