SERBIA'S victory celebrations in this year's Eurovision Song Contest have been marred by claims the track is a COPY of another song and accusations of eastern European block voting.
Critics reckon Molitva, performed by Marija Šerifovic, is a rip-off of an old Albanian track.

One man who has posted a video comparing the two songs side by side online told me: "I knew this Albanian song long ago. It won a popular song competition called Top Fest that is organised there yearly.
"As soon as I heard Serbia's song I realised it was plagiarised.
"I am not aware if they did it intentionally or not but the similarity was obvious."
Meanwhile the awful SCOOCH - who finished second from last in the contest with just 19 points - and host TERRY WOGAN have claimed the vote was more about politics than singing.
Terry said: "Block voting detracts and I don't think we'll end it.
"But still, we only came second last. Unfortunately Ireland came last. And western European countries were left out in the cold, I'm afraid."
Scooch member David added: "We hoped this year would be different with no 'old pals' act in the voting.
"It was our best ever performance. We thought we'd really flown the flag for the UK but we were vote victims. It is a farce.
"The best song never seems to win."

But please, don't be like the Finns at YLE, take the opportunity to celebrate the beauty of your nation. After 3 and a bit hours, I'm still none the wiser about Finland other than knowing that's where Father Christmas is from!

And it is a catch-22 situation: they do not send good songs because they know how powerful the blocks in Eurovision are and they won't be voted... Any ideas to make the voting system less scandalous?

Its sad that here in the UK the press are alleging foul deeds. That political voting hindered the UK's entry (which we all agree was camp, soul-less, and sung out of tune). The press here told UK citizens on the appointment of Nikolic that Serbia's neighbours hate her... today they say Serbia won Eurovision because her neighbours love her???? I got several text messages after the victory. Most saying that i must be a 'proud Serb' tonight? I replied 'no,... i am a proud Serb every night'.

As a Russian native speaker I have a personal advice to Maria...Please don't sing it in Russian, you ruin it..In Serbian it is great and passionate song, in Russian it is an exercise in wrong grammar, pronunciation and the bad poetry. ..Chorus just don't have any sense, partly Serbian words made to sound Russian. Guy who made a translation thinks that he know Russian, but shool lessons from the childhood is not enough..Brateeee is not enough..no offence...

But to me, what really stood out from all of this was the news that much of the former Yugoslavia voted for Marija. Man I can't tell you how happy I am about that news. Because this display of unity and friendliness is truly what will bring prosperity to everyone in the former Yugoslavia. Anyway, that's just my belief. But congratulations Marija no less!

Being Enlgish living currently in Belgrade I thought I would be torn in 2 to decide who I wanted to win but after watching the contest Serbia outshone the UK and all other countries even though I did not understand the lyrics. I can't wait to find out where it will be hosted next year so that I can possibly obtain a ticket. Congratulations from a Brit proud to be living in Belgrade.

Despite trying to laugh it off as a bit of a jolly and a farce (it IS), has everyone else noticed that the British seem to take this contest more seriously than every other European country put together. Their overreaction at getting the cold shoulder from Europe is even funnier than their embarassing entry, Scooch. Didn't Scooch already enter before ?

And after Zeljko Joksimovic getting second 3 years ago, and after not competing because of the riot with Monttenegro (and thus not competing) last year it is more then deserved. It is a real song and sung by someone who knows what music is! no make-up, normal clothes etc. etc. Well done!
