Iraq is correct that if Israel does not stop then it risks a broad regional conflict, but unlike in the earlier wars Israel’s neighbours are much better trained, equipped and armed so its not going to be 1967 again. What Hezbollah did to Israel in 2006 in Southern Lebanon will be a picnic for Israel if there is a regional war.

How did this ceasefire occur? Bricks that’s how. There was tremendous pressure on the US to force Washington to tell BB to “pause”. Bricks now has many, many countries in the UN on their side and a vote in the General Assembly against the US and Israel would be catastrophic. Countries that were once firm supporters of Israel have walked away and some even cut all ties. In the Middle East the US no longer has any sway – its China and Russia, and thanks to Genocide Joe and his ilk such as Blinken, Sullivan and Newland. You don’t need the Russian or Chinese meddling when you have incompetents like these people. Putin and Xi must be rolling tears streaming down their faces from laughter.
The ceasefire will continue but if Israel thinks otherwise, it will be doomed. A new UNSC resolution is being put together and it will be passed - US may abstain but it does not matter and if Israel ignores it then they are going to experience what their brethren in the US have forced on other countries in order maintain their hegemony.
This time a Palestinian state will happen.
