Where is there even a shred of democracy in today's Russia?
(Betsy Lalich, 8 October 2023 23:29)
Here are two examples:
1. Russians “elected” Boris Yeltsin who turned out to be a drunk that was controlled by the USA and who let Russia be robbed.
Russians realized who this fool Yeltsin was and then democratically elected Vladimir Putin, who in the last two decades has transformed Russia, through competent leadership.
Yes, you and all Americans consider Boris Yeltsin to be a great democratic leader. However, the vast majority of Russians, think and know better than Betsy Lalich and the brain-washed Americans.
Democracy in Russia is about who the Russians want elected, not who the Americans want to install as their puppet government. Our perhaps you may not be familiar with the concept of democracy?
2. In the Donbas, when the legitimately elected Ukrainian President was overthrown by a violent and CIA orchestrated coup in 2014, they refused to recognize an undemocratic coup. Similarly on the Russian Crimean peninsula, the indigenous Russian population voted democratically to join Russia. Betsy: you can’t be that blind to know that the population on Crimea has been predominantly Russian for centuries. Yes democracy rules in Russian lands.
That the true outcome of the will of the people does not suit your American dictact and your narrative is your problem. It is however, undeniably democratic.
