Where is there even a shred of democracy in today's Russia?
(Betsy Lalich, 8 October 2023 23:29)

Here are two examples:
1. Russians “elected” Boris Yeltsin who turned out to be a drunk that was controlled by the USA and who let Russia be robbed.
Russians realized who this fool Yeltsin was and then democratically elected Vladimir Putin, who in the last two decades has transformed Russia, through competent leadership.
Yes, you and all Americans consider Boris Yeltsin to be a great democratic leader. However, the vast majority of Russians, think and know better than Betsy Lalich and the brain-washed Americans.
Democracy in Russia is about who the Russians want elected, not who the Americans want to install as their puppet government. Our perhaps you may not be familiar with the concept of democracy?
2. In the Donbas, when the legitimately elected Ukrainian President was overthrown by a violent and CIA orchestrated coup in 2014, they refused to recognize an undemocratic coup. Similarly on the Russian Crimean peninsula, the indigenous Russian population voted democratically to join Russia. Betsy: you can’t be that blind to know that the population on Crimea has been predominantly Russian for centuries. Yes democracy rules in Russian lands.

That the true outcome of the will of the people does not suit your American dictact and your narrative is your problem. It is however, undeniably democratic.

I hate to burst your bubble Sasha but there are are other political parties in Russia and one of the biggest opposition partied are the former communist party. In the US there have only been two parties on the last 200 years.
Russia's political system is new so will it evolve to a similar system as on the US time will tell but after 200 years of a two party system the US is not a democracy mate.

Sj

Ok Betsy have you ever been to Russia? I have and I know.
Americans are the dumbest people on earth and you provide such a shing example talking about democracy. You have no idea what that is. The US has had ONLY two political parties to hold power in 200 years. That's not democracy you bird brain.

Betsy, seriously?
After so much evidence you still believe that US is a good friend to anyone?
Just remember, they gave Iraq their word they will support them and they went it and hunter Hussein like an animal.
Osama was once a friend, until he wasn't.

Serbia was an ally in both world wars until US interests were on the opposite side and look at what they did to their ally.
Syria, Lebanon, we can keep counting until we run out of fingers.

Please wake up and see your country for what it truly is. Americans are decent, fair people but the government is totally corrupt and been working for the deep state for a very long time.
American too are enslaved by the US government and instead of fighting for freedom you are siding with the slavers.

Sj,
I highly doubt you know much about ANY democracy OR the different branches of government in America.
Can you even name them?
Certainly not. And it is doubtful that you know how they work.

Where is there even a shred of democracy in today's Russia?
It is an absolute brutal dictatorship, which you apparently love, while reaping the benefits of a free Western-style nation.
You are nothing but an anonymous, hypocritical fool.

Sj,
I must agree with Jenny, you have shot yourself in the foot, again. Your latest comment says it all! Namely, you criticize the U.S. for having a two party system, yet you think it’s fine for Russia to have, essentially, a one party system! Way to go, loser.

The loser from Sydney has shot himself in the foot once again. What can one expect from one whose descendants came from the penal colonies of Australia!

Yes Betsy the Russians should adopt the US style of democracy where ONLY two political parties have ruled for 200 hundred years LOL 😂😂😂😂

Kissinger once quoted "it's dangerous to be America's enememy but it's even more dangerous to be her friend, good luck.
Does Osama and Iraq bring back memories when they were once America's friend then became enemy?

Betsy Lalich

Ha ha ha ! This is humorous Soviet style reporting. No one is so stupid.
This is not about the "West" nor any deception.
It is about people wanting to be free.

Of course each nation has their own problems to deal with, but their heart and minds are with free people and those who seek it.
This is just another foolish "news report" from previous Soviet-thinking idiots.

One day the Russian people, themselves, will rid of you. You cannot poison every opposition leader or cause "accidental" suicides to an entire nation, nor send everyone to Siberia, nor hope that the criminals you let out of jail, to fight, can possibly be a professional military.
