Don't you smell pure bullshit. This is the exact what is going on in Ukraine right now where children of the powerful and influential are posted well away from the battlefronts.
The Russian reserve force of 300,000 are ALL ex-military not raw recruits like in the Ukraine army.

While the masses of young ordinary Russians and those of the provinces die daily on the front lines, without recognition, the sons of the elite and well connected to Putin are safely tucked away in modern bunkers far from the combat of the front lines. Putin is not only aware of this unfair cronyism but, is responsible for its creation.
