The Russian ruling elite has never cared for the welfare of their troops. It has always been a case of them being cannon fodder. Even in wars they won, their losses were always higher than that of the enemy.

The longer Putin's stupid obsession continues, the more young Russian conscripts return in bodybags or without limbs. I suppose Russian state propaganda will always keep the braindead masses supporting this war and giving Putin his popularity ratings (if those are even true), so it's not like it's going to end soon.

There is a site called Medusa and I think it’s located in one of the Baltic countries and they are very anti-Russian. They gave an estimate of Russians deaths in combat. They said it was 12,000; the Russian MoD said it was 14,000. Now the estimate of Ukrainian deaths ranges from 300,000 to 350,000.
