That’s the point you don’t know, but are bursting at the seams to give your opinion on the matter. I don’t know much about Russian aircraft industry so I can’t comment.
Why do they buy Boeing or Airbus? Because there are no other manufactures around, that’s why. What other company produces jets that carry 500 passengers?
Boeing used to produce great aircraft, but today its crap.
The F35 has cost so far $1.4 trillion to produce. It costs US $25,000 an hour to fly. Its stealth paint peels under certain conditions. Pilots have complained their helmets that provide visual data give them headaches.
Issues with the gatling gun. There are over 950 software problems some can potentially cause the aircraft to crash.
There have been more than 5 F35 crashes and they were not due to human error.

Yes sj, a premier aircraft manufacturer. Just about every airline uses either Beoing, Airbus and to a lesser extent, Embraer. What do you consider a premier aircraft manufacturer? Ilyushin? Tupolev?

I might be wrong, but there have been 5 F-35 crashes since 2014. Apparently there are some critical production flaws, like the fan blades cracking due to heat-related issues. Nothing new, issues can be ironed out.

Where do these people crawl out from??? The B52 is made by Boeing which is a premier aircraft manufacturer ha,ha,ha,ha. What do you call the Boeing 737 Max? premier manufacturing?
Look now is the time for NATO and the US to attack Russia since their aircraft are crashing all around. The sad part is you think you know something but actually make yourself look like a prize jackass.
Try looking into the F35. That is an extremely superior aircraft. See how many mishaps and crashes it has had.

Dear sj, I know, only you are clever and Putin and a few other people and everyone else is either stupid or an idiot. We get it.

In October alone there was a Su-34 crash, a Su-30 crash and now this Mig-31 crash. It's the frequency that's worth nothing.

B-52 are made by Boeing, if I am not mistaken, which is the premier aircraft manufacturer and if an aircraft is properly maintained and overhauled, why shouldn't it be flying since the 50's?

No idea about the reasons for the F-35, would have to read about it. Probably human error.

Quite a few crashes in Russia these days. These Cold War-era planes are not the newest and I guess Western sanctions are starting to work since Russia is not getting those high-tech parts anymore.

You really are an idiot. The US operates the B52 bombers to this day. Its 70 years old. The MiG 31 is a modern aircraft, but what's curious is so far there have been several crashes involving the F35 which is supposed to be "cuttings edge" technology. So what's the excuse there?

So what is the news value? No material damage (other than the MiG-31) no injuries or damage to property. Are we supposed to cry that Russia has lost another killing machine. Go fish!!
