I think what people do not realize about the rapes by Serb soldier in Kosovo is that many of the rapes were gang rapes over a few days.
If a mother and 3 daughters were raped by 5 soldiers 2 times a day for 5 days, that is 100 rapes in one house.
If this happened to 5 families in a village that the Serbs wanted to clear, that is 500 rapes in one village.
If that happened in 40 villages, that is 20000 rapes.
More believable now?

Looks like different sources say different things, in some places is "up to 20000 victims", "20000 rapes", " at least 20000 victims".
In general it is accepted as 20000 victims.
The numbers are for all of Kosovo and include Serbs who were raped too.
The period is 14 months.
They are mostly accepted as accurate, given the complication.
The numbers were originally from interviews with refugee camps and there may be duplication of some reports that would push the true numbers down, but many women are afraid to come forward which would make the number bigger.


Is it really that hard to to believe the numbers? Here is a qoute from one victim
"I remember they kept us for three days. They kept 15 of us in the same room...the first day, we were raped continuously. They took turns with us, while wiping away our blood"
If all women here were raped 3 times on the first day, that is 15 women and 60 rapes.

As bad as it is the use of false photos, that doesn't mean that the serbian forces didn't do all those killings raping and other against the Albanians in Kosovo. All the victims, including rape victims, were cared by the international organizations and Red Cross once they were in Macedonia and Albania. This care was provided to them immediately. The entire evidence including medical reports of all being wounded and raped is documented, and the local, as well as international courts have these documents in possession. Nothing screams more guilty than Serbs trying to deny these rapes as viciously as you all trying to deny this right now. This picture has caused so much trauma to the victims and the evidence should have only been used in courts, but I am glad that this conversation has started and finally is getting the attention it needs.

I think what people do not realize about the rapes by Serb soldier in Kosovo is that many of the rapes were gang rapes over a few days.
If a mother and 3 daughters were raped by 5 soldiers 2 times a day for 5 days, that is 100 rapes in one house.
If this happened to 5 families in a village that the Serbs wanted to clear, that is 500 rapes in one village.
If that happened in 40 villages, that is 20000 rapes.

Looks like different sources say different things, in some places is "up to 20000 victims", "20000 rapes", " at least 20000 victims".
In general it is accepted as 20000 victims.
The numbers are for all of Kosovo and include Serbs who were raped too.
The period is 14 months.
They are mostly accepted as accurate, given the complication.
The numbers were originally from interviews with refugee camps and there may be duplication of some reports that would push the true numbers down, but many women are afraid to come forward which would make the number bigger.

If all women here were raped 3 times on the first day, that is 15 women and 60 rapes.
