Taking in unskilled migrants is not a solution. They will compete with local unskilled people and on top will put a burden on social security. In addition, many jobs will be automated which will lead to more people losing their jobs and competing on the job market.

I disagree with this assessment! As this new influx of foreign investment get's its footing, say a couple years, the Serbian people will be more prosperous; hence, able to support bigger families. Taking in unskilled migrants is not a solution. They will compete with local unskilled people and on top will put a burden on social security. In addition, many jobs will be automated which will lead to more people losing their jobs and competing on the job market.
The solution is to provide people with incentives to have more children. Alas, when economies are poor, then there are less incentives.

The population decline is happening all over Eastern Europe, when income improve and people are feeling financially secure you might just slow the decline but won’t stop it.
Times are different now, you don’t need 10 kids to work the farm. We Are now city dwellers and can only house 2 or 3 kids or if you live in an apartment maybe just 1.

Turning your back on the EU will cause many young people to give up and move thereby increase the brain drain.
