Of course remittances are classified as income and they are included in the GNI (gross national income). But the CE of B92 forums sj was writing about the GDP (which does not include remittances), not GNI. Feel free to sort it out with the CE of B92 forums sj and let us know the outcome lol

And it also exists in the World Bank economics. I wasn't aware that the World Bank uses Albanian economics, but if the CE of B92 forums sj says so, that must be the case :)

SJ Moldova have a big diaspora to why they are more poor than Kosovo ? even Ukraine have diaspora Sj the Eu money in Romania gdp grow it represent 0,8% they analysed this in Romania if we would manage to get money from Eu as Hungary Croatia Poland it can grow at 1,5% from gdp grow .

(adi_bucharest,

Forget about the EU money. That carrot does not work any longer and that's why the 3 countries dare to bark at Brussels. Bulgaria will soon join them. Moldova is weak because of Voronin, Plahotnjuk and other sell outs. Besides it's a agricultural Slavic country that had always survived thanks to the mainland Russia.

PLEASE LEAVE ALONE THE GDP AND SALARIES !

For the economists SJ and ICJ and the Croat Leonidas

I had read that article about Albania , but there is someting else that nobody say , in 1990s when Albania collapsed it had the gdp per capita only 200-300 dollars ! Romania and Bulgaria had gdp around 1000 dollars

One is 200-300 dollars another is 1000

I had meet some Albanians who have money , they sent their kids in West , that is someting unimaginable

Serbia have a very good distribution of income and a very good system for collect money at budget the only problem is it have low gdp per capita .

For example at gdp per capita $6000 for 2018 average pension from Serbia is over 200 euro , Croatia at gdp per capita $14000 for 2018 have average pension 300 euro . I gave this example because Croatia is good in indicators only at average salary

I think Romania have a chance to be strong if gdp per capita for 2018 is estimate $11800 it means in reality over $12000 ( Imf forecast for 2017 2018 gdp grow is wrong )

Albania have no chance

Croatia => it have a relative good gdp per capita but no developments

Serbia => everything is good in Serbia but the gdp is small

Romania => when Romania will have same gdp as Croatia from today about 2020 it will be much better than Croatia for ordinary people

You are obsessed with GDP/growth and need to stop looking at these statistics mate. Most are BS. For example Kosovo’s growth for 2017 is 4%. What does that mean? It means when calculating growth for Kosovo they take into account the amount of money family members send back to their relatives in Kosovo
(sj, 11 October 2017 12:29)

That just shows that you are totally clueless about how GDP is calculated, like most of the other BS your write. GDP calculations do not take into account the amount of money family members send back to their relatives. GDP is calculated as Consumption + Investments + Government Spending + Net Exports and it does not include transfers (like remittances).

Leonidas, your point is mute, in 2015 remittances were 697 mln and in 2016 753 mln euro, for a whopping increase of 0.08%. Whatever ancillary effect remittances might have on the GDP, Kosova's 4% increase of the GDP was not attributed to a sudden burst of remittances. Eurozone itself, where these remittances are sent from, at the same period of time had a growth of about 0.4-0.5%, so the theory doesn't hold water.
(Therret Prizreni

Since my point is mute here is a link below which takes you to a summary of a research done by someone on the effects of remittances on consumption and GDP with special case Albania.

Maybe in Alboland remittances are not taken into account but in modern calculations all income is taken into account and remittances are classified as income. (icj1,

The chief Albanian economist is in prime form today uploading his usual BS. I wonder how SJ finds the patience to communicate with him.So according to Albanian Einstein Consumption is a component of GDP but the effect of remittances on consumption and therefore GDP is non-existent.However, the Albanian Einstein is totally oblivious to contemporary views of economistsOn the link of remittances to GDP rates.Certainly, remittances do not go unnoticed in most of the countries that receive them. Typically, each migrant leaves several family members behind and supports them with a steady flow of remittances. Therefore, the fact that there are many millions of migrants globally implies that many more millions of people are directly affected by remittance flows. Because remittances are generally spent on consumption necessities—food, clothing, medicine, and shelter—they help lift huge numbers of people out of poverty by supporting a higher level of consumption than would otherwise be possible and promote economic activity..Given their effects on consumption, effects on short-term output from fluctuations in remittance flows are to be expected, and therefore GDP figures.
May i repeat my advice to you to stick to your colouring books.

Have you ever been to Kosovo? I have been to Romania, Moldavia and Kosovo and can tell you Kosovo is ten times worse than Moldavia. Romania receives funds from the EU and your roads and infrastructure are paid for out of the EU Fund. Sometimes a little information in the wrong hands is dangerous.

I have no idea why Moldavians or Ukrainians don’t send money back to their relatives. I am only telling you while Kosovo will have growth of 4%.

Stop reading statistics that you really don’t understand and take a good look around you. That is the best indicator in the world.

Unless Romania has an average wage of 2,000 to 3,000 Euros per month all else is BS. 6% growth while the EU in general will have 1.8% is total nonsense. Romania does not live in a bubble separate from the EU.

How quickly the world changes. It wasn't too long ago that Albanians were praising Erdogan. He was saying Kosovo is Turkey.

Allegiances have changed. Russia now owns the Middle East with Turkey looking towards Russia, not the US. When it comes to the Balkans, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovenia all see Russia as our protector. Romania and BiH are divided and it seems only Croatia and Albania are opposed.

Russian influence will bring stability to the region and although I'm uncomfortable with Turkey, for the sake of stability, we must get along and I can see efforts now are being made. The games of division played by the west, the EU and US, have backfired. Serbia is on the rise. Good news.

It means when calculating growth for Kosovo they take into account the amount of money family members send back to their relatives in Kosovo – it has nothing to do with production or export. Kosovo has no industry.

When talking about Romania’s growth at 6% first take out the money Romania receives from the EU Fund then calculate growth.

“Global GDP growth seems to be on a positive trajectory, but its quite modest and still short of historical averages. The OECD projection for World growth for 2017 is 3.5% up from 3%. US 2.1%, EU 1.8%, UK 1.8% and Japan 1.4%, China 6.6%, India 7.3%.”

Unless Romania is near Beijing or New Delhi 6% growth is a fanciful target.

Looking at these comments I thought I would never see Albanians condemning Turkey and the wannabe sultan Erdogan and Serbs praising Turkey and the old empire. Times are really changing, this guy has made it very clear that if it wasn’t for America and Russia he would resurrect the Ottoman Empire. No amount of trade and fake smiles can help heal almost 500 years of genocide, persecution, Turkification and enslavement on the Balkan and Caucasian people. Europeans need to rid themselves of the middle eastern vermin who want at all costs the subduction of Europe and its people.

pparently referring to the year the Battle of Kosovo was fought - when Ottoman Turks started their centuries-long invasion and occupation of the medieval Serbian state - the president then said that "this is not 1389, as some think - this is 2017."

It's been several times that I asked everybody here to reveal any mediaeval document or an artefact proving that in 1389 there was the Boj yf Kosovo + 7 other battles. Please tell me what all those films, songs, legends are based on. Who can help me ?

Besides words had other meanings in the past and Serbs themseles could be called Turks. This Rus word TOR (moving forward), TOTITJ (make one's way) was often used for the cossack cavalery who had to be nomads to feed their horses. So were the Serbs who also controlled the Yanissay Corp and thus the entire Empire called VELIKOE GOSUDARSTVO, ROME, ASIA ect.

See how long Pasha Sokologlu (Sokolovic) ruled the world ! Find the Slovensky language (Serbian Church) the Constanopole High Court used. No any other languages were uused in 15-18 centuries

In 1389 it was one of the battles of the civil war (smuta) in the Great Horde. It was a religious war between the Early aka Pagan Christians and the Apostolic of Han Dmitry I aka sultan Murat I. Dmitry (MTR) and Murat (MRT) is the same name.

One last thing TURKS AND TURKISH LANGUAGE both appeared in 1923 ! Before that official language of the empire was OSMANI = mix of PERSIAN, ARAB + a bit of Slovenski (Serbian) and Greek.

Also you can ask him why all Turkish leaders since Abdulla Gul insist that the Empire ended at the Chinese Wall, that they've built the first mosques in America (in Cuba = Qaaba) ect. Turkish archieves were adjusted to the Scaliger history but they still contain 1000s of document that can lighten history of at least 100 UNO members controlled by the Ottomans (Atamans) in Asia (land of the As) , Oceahia (Ak-e Hania) , Africa (Afri Can) and America (Amer-i Can).

GDP is calculated as Consumption + Investments + Government Spending + Net Exports and it does not include transfers (like remittances).

Good chance to ask him about the history of the Balkans as Anatolia and Stanbul were the only part of the Great Horde that has never been seized by the Anglo-saxons and their Romanovs chain dogs. Finally after reading all the comments so far I have to say the photo's B92 present very friendship like and the theme we are past 1389 profoundly wish positive thinking of decent humanity ! How long will the battle in Kosovo of 1389 last , As you all can see it really never ended ! So with the USA, England and Hitler's fragmentation of Jugoslavija and Pandora's box now open, what will be the conclusion ? Lets us all just forget USA, England and Hitler and think about Russia, China, India and the Middle East - What do you all suppose that this escalation of hostilities and divisions of humanity in the Balkans is not so heavy on their shoulders as well ???

Good news.

You are obsessed with GDP/growth and need to stop looking at these statistics mate. Most are BS. For example Kosovo’s growth for 2017 is 4%. What does that mean?

Good news.

Romania => when Romania will have same gdp as Croatia from today about 2020 it will be much better than Croatia for ordinary people

adi_bucharest

Skanderbeu you can`t do nothing because your country is poor

for Lenard we are the most big threat for West , from 1 january 2018 our minimum salary will be more exactly 435 euro , it will overtake Lithuania , Lativa , Hungary ,Croatia , Czech Republic , Slovakia ( if they keep 2016 level ) and then it will grow with 50 euro until including 2020 . If i lie with someting i won`t comment anymore here , all people know what i said and will see facts in january 2018

IMF always underestimate us in forecasts , and overestimate the pupepts as is Serbia

This week Liviu Dragnea make a new purge it change many from gouvern and tumorrow he decide if change the prime minister or not , they were again slow to implement the program

Dragnea was smart he said to West it keep even the minimum salary low until now and they not have time for destroy him until end of the year !

Therret Prizreni

pre 7 godina

@Leonidas, your point is mute, in 2015 remittances were 697 mln and in 2016 753 mln euro, for a whopping increase of 0.08%.

Forget about the EU money. That carrot does not work any longer and that's why the 3 countries dare to bark at Brussels. Bulgaria will soon join them.
