I just return from Vojvodina trip, I traveled from Beograd to Sombor, spent a day in Backa Palanka, had a GREAT lunch in Vrsac (cevapi to the core:), ...Talking to people, I can reaafirm people want to join the EU, but not at the cost of turning our back on Russia or K&M. Now granted, the people I talked to were mostly middle aged - older aged. The "younger" were more inclined to not care as much about history or the past, they were looking for a decent job with a decent pay. One other thing I found out, no one really spoke negatively about the Albanians as much as I thought they would. It was more negatively about the west for "baiting" the Albanians intowhat is going on...It was almost like " we would probably bite the same hook that the Albanians bit if offered to us" type of thinking...Anyways, it was a great trip, loved to see the family, friends, food and country. I also saw protests..the biggest in Novi Sad...semmed like "Mostly punks" with nothing better to do...I don't know for fact, but that is what it looked liked to me.

I just return from Vojvodina trip, I traveled from Beograd to Sombor, spent a day in Backa Palanka, had a GREAT lunch in Vrsac (cevapi to the core:), ...Talking to people, I can reaafirm people want to join the EU, but not at the cost of turning our back on Russia or K&M. Now granted, the people I talked to were mostly middle aged - older aged. The "younger" were more inclined to not care as much about history or the past, they were looking for a decent job with a decent pay. One other thing I found out, no one really spoke negatively about the Albanians as much as I thought they would. It was more negatively about the west for "baiting" the Albanians intowhat is going on...It was almost like " we would probably bite the same hook that the Albanians bit if offered to us" type of thinking...Anyways, it was a great trip, loved to see the family, friends, food and country. I also saw protests..the biggest in Novi Sad...semmed like "Mostly punks" with nothing better to do...I don't know for fact, but that is what it looked liked to me.
