A rally against impunity of violence will take place in Pioneer Park tomorrow as planned, the organizers say. The organizers said that Interior Minister Ivica Dacic had told them that the meeting would not be prohibited. The meeting's organizers include the Youth Initiative for Human Rights and the Civil Rights Defenders. Deputy Police Chief Zeljko Nikac told B92 earlier that the meeting had been banned for technical reasons. “They’re technical details, arising from the Belgrade assembly’s decision on sites and locations where these kinds of meetings can be held. The other decision is of a technical nature… and concerns the location. That location is in the Nature Park," Nikac said. “In question is the possibility for technical equipment, communications, audio. So, for now, as far as I know, that was the reason why they were asked, why they were told that they couldn’t have it there,” he explained.
