Town to award minister for canceling gay parade

Ivica Dacic will receive the Plaque of the City of Jagodina for his exceptional contribution to protection of all citizens of Serbia, it has been announced. The town's administration listed the canceling last week of the Belgrade Pride Parade among the interior minister's accomplishments. The announcement meanwhile reads that Dacic will be recognized "for securing the citizens' peaceful and stable lives, his personal contribution and MUP's cooperation with Interpol, as well as the ban on all public gatherings on the occasion of the announced Pride Parade".
