Croatia and Serbia will sign an agreement for extraditing their citizens on June 28, according to the Beta news agency’s sources in Croatia. The agreement would be signed in Belgrade by the Serbian and Croatian Justice Ministers Snezana Malovic and Ivan Simonovic. Extradition agreement with Croatia to be signed The agreement calls for extraditing suspects who are accused of corruption and organized crime. Serbian officials have announced that the agreement will be signed in order to have Croatia extradite Zemun Clan gang member Sretko Kalinic, who is a Croatian citizens and was convicted and sentenced in Serbia to 40 years in prison for participation in the assassination of the late prime minister Zoran Djindjic as well as 19 other murders. Kalinic was shot and wounded by another Zemun gang member, Milos Simovic, who is also accused of the Djindjic assassination. Serbian officials have announced that the agreement will be signed in order to have Croatia extradite Zemun Clan gang member Sretko Kalinić, who is a Croatian citizens and was convicted and sentenced in Serbia to 40 years in prison for participation in the assassination of the late prime minister Zoran Đinđić as well as 19 other murders.

Kalinić was shot and wounded by another Zemun gang member, Miloš Simović, who is also accused of the Đinđić assassination.

Simović was arrested after the shooting incident at the Croatian border by Serbian police and was taken to prison.
