Satellite contract “smells of corruption” Former Serbia and Montenegro Defense Minister Prvoslav Davinic was indicted for his role in the affair on Monday in Belgrade. His decision to sign the contract cost the Serbian budget some EUR 45mn. The documents are mostly conclusions from government meetings that are related to the case from 2006 to 2010, when Serbia definitively lost the arbitration case in Paris regarding the contract made in 2005, that it failed to honor. The reports of the Attorneys Offices state that the contract shows many signs of “corrupt dealings”. The prosecution for its part said it can prove that Davinic signed the contract with Israeli ImageSet without agreement from relevant state institutions.
