Heirs to Zemun Clan leaders stripped of assets
The Supreme Court of Serbia has rejected appeals lodged by the heirs to the property of Dušan Spasojević and Mile Luković.

The Supreme Court of Serbia has rejected appeals lodged by the heirs to the property of Dusan Spasojevic and Mile Lukovic. Previously, a court ruling stripped them of the assets that belonged to the leaders of the so-called Zemun Clan organized crime gang. Heirs to Zemun Clan leaders stripped of assets The Supreme Court found that the first-degree verdict ruled correctly, in accordance with the Law on Forfeiture of Assets Gained Through Criminal Activity. Spasojevic and Lukovic died in a shootout with Serbian MUP special police in the spring of 2003. At the time of their deaths they were suspects in the case of the murder of Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic and fugitives from justice.
