Iran, Serbia discuss cooperation
In the meeting, Baqeri was reported as giving "a synopsis of progress achieved by Iran in various scientific, industrial and agricultural fields," Iranian state news agency reported from Belgrade.Baqeri and Hadžiabdić are said to have welcomed plans to hold the Iran-Serbia Joint Economic Commission's 13th session in Serbia in the near future.
Officials of the two sides discussed bilateral economic cooperation, including possible joint venture projects on oil, gas, energy, technical and engineering services, and infrastructure in the upcoming session.
Baqeri has also held talks with the head of the government's liaison office with the Hague, Rasim Ljajić.
On behalf of Serbia's Muslims, Ljajić “praised Iran's leadership efforts in resolving problems of the Muslim world.”
He said Serbian leaders were determined to expand economic relations with Iran given the country's huge economic resources, IRNA reports.
